The Congregational Church Records are an open collection of primarily printed material. The majority of the records document Congregationalism in the United States, including material from 33 of the 50 states. Records of annual meetings and conferences provide rich resources for historical research. Of particular interest are documents on the controversy surrounding the merger of the Congregational Christian Churches and the Evangelical and Reformed Church. Also included are records related to educational, church building and ministerial support, statewide and intrastate organizations and meetings, and individual churches.
